I am Chiara Brendel, 18 years old and I just finished school. Maybe you already know – I will come to South Africa from September 2016 to August 2017 to do a voluntary service for the Village Scribe Association.
But first something about me. My hobbys are reading and writing – which is why I might run a writing project, if there’s interest for that. I also like working with computers. At the moment I’m administrating the website of an NGO in Germany.
I’m really looking forward to my time in South Africa. I’m really curious to meet the VSA team in a few weeks. Me and Lucas, the other volunteer that will come in September, already visited Anna and Ron in Berlin and they gave us an introduction into the awarenet platform and the tasks we will be confronted with.
When I received my visa last week I was really happy because of the horror stories the volunteers from the last years told us. But it’s already August and soon I will be gone. I still can’t realize that I’m going to see your beautiful country so soon.
