SAGE Net. at the Berlin Christmas Market

We supported our partner SAGE Net. this year at the Christmas Market in Berlin Rixdorf. It's not just any Christmas Market, but remarkable in that only NGOs and public benefit organisations are allowed to sell their goods or services to make the visitors aware of their work and existence. This gives the market a special and somewhat traditional feel while being set in the remains of the old Rixdorf village in Neukölln and only lit up by gas lanterns as electric light is not allowed.

So, I helped out by selling licorice and pumpkin soup South African style, which was great fun. A lot of people were interested in our work and I think a few will surely come back to volunteer or become a supporting member. I think, next year, the VSA should think about doing the same. You will hear from us. :-)
