On the 19th of November we took our grade 8 - 10 core group learners for a end of year camp at the Monastery Diocesan School For Girls outdoor education center. It was a weekend long camp where we did both physical activities and a fun educational workshop.

On Friday evening we had a games night were learners participated in games such as 30 seconds, Monopoly, Word Scramble and Chess. The next morning we took the learners on a 5km hike where we went to see an ancestral cave.

The learners were very excited about that. One of our grade 8 learners, Luphawu Roji said that "the hike was very tiring but it was one of the best experiences of my life". We also had a Maths Kahoot quiz on Sunday morning which was fun because the learners enjoyed competing against each other.

The camp was our special way of ending a very challenging year for our learners to enjoy.

We hope to see all of our returning learners in new grades in 2022 and look forward to our new grade 8 learners who will be joining our core group programme in 2022.
