Awarenet’s Social Employment Fund (SEF) participants are mostly content with their ten-month employment period which recently came to an end. To see whether their time by us had been fulfilling their expectations we conducted an internal survey among our participants.
In total, 44 participants filled out our feedback surveys in which we asked them general and individual questions about their personal time at SEF. 84% of the participants described their time at SEF as either “excellent” or “good” and we were happy to hear that 95% of our participants felt adequately supported during their time at SEF.
What is also nice to see is that the participants gained several skills through their time at the SEF program. According to their own statements, 55% improved their communication skills and 57% gained better teamwork skills. 14% of the participants could enhance their leadership skills and 23% improved their time management.
On the question “what were the most rewarding aspects of your work?”, 39% answered with “making a positive impact on the community” while 68% put their cross at “gaining work experience”. For 27% the most rewarding aspect of their work was (among other things) “building relationships with team members” and for 48% of the participants “learning new skills” was (one of) the most rewarding aspect(s) of their work.
Overall, we at Awarenet are very content with the results of the feedback surveys of the former SEF participants. However, not everything is perfect so we know that we have to continue working even harder in the future to improve as an organisation.
