What data do we use and what do we use them for?

Your login data

When you log into our web pages we do not know who you are. In conformity with current legislation and for statistical and marketing purposes we do collect the following data when you log in to our website:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Date and time
  • Status of request
  • The transferred data amount
  • The requested data
  • The website from where a user was referred to an awarenet website (the referring site).
  • Information about what internet browser and version was used to access the website.

Usage of your data

The temporary collection of the IP address is necessary for technical reasons due to the nature of the internet. However, we do not know who is using the IP address you are using so we cannot create a personal profile. In addition, for further utilisation the IP addresses are shortened and only processed anonymously. The unshortened IP addresses are not recorded nor processed.

Your email address

We use your email address for the purpose you have have approved. We always communicate with you if you direct any questions to us. We never send any commercial advertisements to email addresses you have given to us voluntarily. We also do not use your email addresses for other purposes and we never give them away to third parties.

Unsubscribe to the use of your email address

You can unsubscribe to the use of your email address at any time by notifying us with a message to info(at)villagescribe.org

Your Contact form data

When you send us requests through a contact form the data you entered on the form will be collected in order to answer your request and potential follow-up questions. These data will not be given to other parties without your permission. .

Your application data

Your application data will not be registered on our website. Transfer of these data will exclusively be done by email or regular mail with your permission. For that purpose use the following email address: career(at)villagescribe.org. Your data will be kept three months after submission of the application and subsequently deleted.

Our staff members are bound to adherence of confidentiality. However, we need to point out that data transfer over the internet (e.g. through email communication) is never completely secure. We cannot therefore guarantee complete protection against third parties accessing your data.

When attempts of abuse of your data or server errors occur comprehensive records can be generated in order to identify the problem. These can in addition to the login data also entail the complete IP and further details. These data will only be used to analyse the error or abuse which occurred. After the successful analysis these data will immediately be deleted.

  • Your right to deletion of data: You have the right to have your data deleted when we no longer have the right to keep them.
