We are very happy to announce that the VSA is now part of the SAGE Net network, a network that organises volunteers from Germany to stay and work in South Africa for one year. The forms were being filled out and sent off to the Weltwärts Programm a few weeks ago. On Tuesday, Mr and Mrs Vogel inspected the site and the awarenet programme personally. They got an introduction from Mr Strickland, the developer of awarenet, and Mrs Quin, who also trains learners and teachers on how to use awarenet.
Here, you can see Mrs Quin (on the left) and the Vogels at their visit to the Mary Waters High School computer lab. They were very impressed by our work and also moved by how the learners use awarenet.
