RU Community Engagement lists very specific criteria that have to be fulfilled.

They describe Nosie as such: “Nosiphiwe has been an active volunteer in and outside of Rhodes. She is a volunteer at Village Scribe Association’s awarenet Programme and a member of the Activate Innovation Leadership Program, a national network of young leaders equipped to drive change for the public good across South Africa. Founding the Young Minds Programme, she later joined the Masisukume Career Information and Youth Development Program in the Mount Frere area. Numerous nominees stated that Nosiphiwe has worked with numerous CBO’s in Grahamstown, contributing her time and valuable skills to assisting in various areas of youth development.”

Thank you, Nosie, for your engagement and your wonderful, happy and caring nature. You really have deserved that award!
