The VSA was accepted to the Film4Change and YouTube Video Academy, which took place last week at the Google Headquarters in Berlin. We were very happy to take part in this workshop to learn more about how to present an idea in an effective way, and how to actually use the equipment and software to produce something useful and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed the two days and am very motivated now to start working on the first of a series of short films about awarenet, the platform and the development programme.
I will start off with a short film about the idea behind awarenet and how it all started. I have to prepare interviews and I hope to get some good visual input from my colleagues on site. Right now, the learners and teachers in South Africa are on holiday, but watch out – we wil present the first draft in February!
