Last year our former volunteer, Paula Lambeck, initiated a fundraiser in Germany in an effort to help our core group learners with receiving food parcels. This initiative came about because of the economic challenges faced by many people in South Africa, more especially Makhanda, due to Covid-19.
On Wednesday 21 July, we braved the cold front to deliver these food parcels to 30 beneficiaries. The families were very happy to receive the parcels because many had expressed to us how much Covid has affected them financially. We would like to say thank you again to Paula Lambeck for bringing some relief to the families of our learners.
