On the 15th of October Awarenet started its first robotics and coding course! Five tutors who earlier this year went through professional training is teaching a group of grade 8 and 9 learners every Friday at the Joza Youth Hub. The learners enjoy the course very much as they the learn the ropes of coding through making robots made of Lego bricks move around. We have found this is a great approach to learning to code as instead of theory the coding is learnt by solving practical problems.
In 2022 we hope to expand the program to more days and groups of learners, becoming pioneers in our region in implementing a new exciting learning area.
